  1. Antibiotics:Antibiotics are types of antimicrobial products used for the treatment and prevention of bacterial infections. The first antibiotic, penicillin, was discovered by Alexander Fleming in 1928
  2. Broad-spectrum antibiotics: Broad-spectrum antibiotics are those that are effective against a wide range of disease-causing bacteria, in contrast to narrow-spectrum antibiotics, which are effective against specific families of bacteria
  3. Antibiotic fixed-dose combinations (FDCs): FDCs are combinations of two or more active antibiotics in a single-dosage form.
