National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development is a development bank which was established in 1982 and focuses primarily on the rural sector of the country.

It is a statutory body. Its aim is to uplift the rural India by facilitating credit in agriculture, cottage and village industries, handcrafts etc.

It supervises Cooperative banks and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs)
