Explanation: Brahmagiri Sanctuary is situated in southern side in Kodagu district of Karnataka State. It lies in between North latitude 110 55’ to 120 19’ and East longitude 750 44’ to 760 04’.

It is named after the highest peak of the sanctuary called Brahmagiri Hill and the total area of the sanctuary is 181.29 km2.
